Pilot Study Participant

Dynamic Learning Online strives to provide quality online courses and to comply with accreditation standards.  To do this they need people like you to help review online courses.  The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) requires a pilot study of all alternative delivery educational programs to determine the appropriate number of contact hours to award.  Pilot study participants can take a Dynamic Learning Online course for FREE in exchange for filling out a time log.

Purpose of Pilot Study Participants

ASHA requires pilot study participants to document time spent taking an alternative delivery format course (such as DLO online courses) when completion time varies between learners.  Pilot study participants keep a time log that is used to determine the appropriate number of contact hours to award through a formula that “averages” learner time requirements.  The pilot study is done initially and again when course content has changed to the extent that time requirements for learners change.

Qualifications of Pilot Study Participants

Pilot study participants must be learners who are in “the target audience”.  The target audience may include speech language pathologists, occupational therapists and physical therapists.

Duties

Pilot study participants are required to keep a time log in order to help determine the appropriate number of contact hours to award for the course.

Reward

Pilot study participants will receive DLO credit towards any course(s) in the DLO library of comparable value.

Once we have reviewed your information, we will contact you when new courses are available to review. You choose the course(s) that interest you from our current pilot study list, and we enroll you, free of charge. In exchange for receiving the course tuition-free, you fill out a simple form reporting the time you spent completing the course and return it to us. That’s it!
