Instructors
Traci Taylor Swartz, OTR/L, received her degree in Occupational
Therapy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and is
presently the Occupational Therapy Manager for Emory University
Hospital’s Center for Rehabilitation Medicine in Atlanta,
Georgia. Her administrative and clinical experiences have included
inpatient rehab, a residential facility for those with developmental
disabilities, skilled nursing and home health, as well as private
practice consultation to individuals and businesses in the
area of environmental modification. She has substantial experience
and continuing education in the areas of environmental assessment
and modification, assistive technology, and ergonomics and
is NDT trained. Throughout her career as an occupational therapist
she has developed and presented training in the areas of environmental
modifications and universal design, including serving as an
instructor of a continuing education course about home modifications
that was presented nationally. She has also presented on the
topics of assistive technology, seating/positioning, and Dysphagia
with the developmentally disabled population.
