Susan M. Struckhoff, OTR/L is currently practicing as an occupational therapist at Florida Hospital in Orlando FL. In addition to working with hand patients, Ms. Struckhoff has developed and implemented a lymphedema program within the hospital, as well as developed policies and procedures. Through inservices and presentations, she is educating rehab staff, doctors, nurses and other health care professionals on the current practice and clinical methodology being utilized to successfully treat both primary and secondary lymphedema. She has a B.A. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in Music Therapy and Psychology. Ms. Struckhoff received her B.S. in Occupational Therapy from University of Southern California. She completed a 135-hour training course in lymphedema in 1998 from the Lerner Academy, and is a certified manual lymphedema therapist. She has been a frequent speaker at the local level for stress management, assertiveness training and lymphedema as well as recently presenting at the FOTA conference on Magnet Therapy. Ms. Struckhoff has received her certification in Project Adventure Counseling and is also a certified Beiersdorf-Jobst Fitter.
