Catherine C. Goodman, M.B.A., P.T. graduated from the University of
Pennsylvania in 1976 with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She was employed
as a pediatric specialist during her first ten years of clinical practice.
To keep up on her orthopedic skills while in pediatric practice, Ms.
Goodman joined the U.S. Army Reserves in 1979 where she served in
an orthopedic setting until 1986.
Ms. Goodman has over 25 years of experience in a variety of clinical
settings including pediatrics, orthopedics, private practice, home
health care, acute care, inpatient/rehabilitation, hospital out-patient
services, and in a hand clinic. She developed a Clinical Medicine
course including the textbook Differential Diagnosis in Physical
Therapy (DDPT) while serving as the director of the University of
Montana Physical Therapy Clinic and on faculty at the University
of Montana School of Physical Therapy. DDPTis now in its third edition.
The content of this course offered by Dynamic On-line is the result
of Ms. Goodman's continuing education course offered over the past
15 years across the U.S. at hospitals, clinics, APTA state conferences
and Combined Sections meetings. The material has been refined and
updated continuously throughout that time.
Currently, Ms. Goodman is a medical writer for Medical Multimedia
Group and remains at the University of Montana as a Faculty Affiliate.
She lives in Missoula, Montana and continues to serve as a conference
speaker. She is the co-author of a second textbook, Pathology: Special
Implications for the Physical Therapist, 2nd ed. (2003).
